It depends on whether you want to snorkle, sun, scuba, drink, be entertained, etc. Try not to be so brief and you will find a lot of people on these boards that are willing to give you all the advice and hints you need.

There is a tourist info booth in the mall at the dock in Barbados. The beach that is closest cost us $2 per person each way in l999. I don't remember everything but I know there were restrooms and giant water trikes for rent. You have many choices in St. Thomas. Do a St. Thomas search on this board. Dominica has 365 rivers but it is not a beach island. The sand is gray. The area is rocky. You may want to hike in the rainforest. This is an excursion island. There is nothing to do on your own as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks Golfmike. I'll try and be more specific. We are an active group(3 couples 40ish with 6 teens 15-18) but on a tight budget. Probable looking for scenic beaches with great swimming and snorkling. Not much into the drinking or scuba but two of us are cert. divers. My family has been on many cruises but this time we are bringing two other families( 1st timers) and they have expressed their concern about spending to much on shore excursions. So we are looking for sight seeing and family fun that won't cost am arm and leg but will leave us with lasting memories of our trip together. If there was a must do that was worth the price you pay we would like to hear about it. Lucky for us we have a long time to collect this information
Thanks again

Golfman, thanks for the info, In St. Thomas, a lot of people have talked about Megan's Bay, which has been named one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Having said that a lot of people have also said it is awfully crowded. My daughter and I are going to be in St. Thomas in Nov. and we have decided to go to Coral World. It is an aquarium/amusement facility on the opposite side of the island from Charlotte Amilie.

click on the link and check it out, it might be an entertaining option since you have several teens with you. the cost is $20.00 per person but there is a discount coupon on the website. The taxis at the Port are negotiable, don't be shy about getting the best price, if one say's 10.00 the next will take 8.00 to get the fare. :rasta
Sorry, I can't help you with any of the others, haven't been to them yet. =dunno

here is even more help, this should take you to any thing you want to know about St. Thomas. St. Thomas is a pretty island, probably a little more materialistic than others, :pimp due to the large amount of ships calling there, but it is still fun. =cheerleader

A couple of Barbados suggestions:
<http://www.theboatyard.com/Activities.asp>
which we enjoyed
and the following trip to a beach, from my Legend review last December

"After lunch we walked into town, about a 20 minute walk. We located the bus terminal across from St. Mary’s church, and for 75 cents per person, each way, we rode about 20 minutes to Folkestone Park, the national underwater park and beach just beyond Holetown. Entrance is free, and there are restrooms, showers, souvenirs and refreshments, picnic tables, a children’s playground, and chair rentals ($5). At high tide the sandy beach is limited, but there are plenty of sunny areas. Snorkeling is best over the reef about 100 yards offshore to the right of the beach in front of the rocks to the right. Nice coral and schools of multicolored fish….hundreds in a school. Water was very clear. Took the bus back to town and shopped at Harrison’s, downtown, then took a taxi for $5 to The BoatYard, a beachfront bar and grill with water sports, trampoline, rock climb, and a great bar/music with inexpensive drinks ($2 beer and $3 rum punch). Taxi to ship $6 at 7pm. "

Barbados- taxi to the nearest beach
St Thomas - taxi to Coki Beach ($0 fee) or Maegan's Bay $3 entry fee per person plus taxi fee per person - take the taxi back and get off at Charlotte Amalie for the "shopping" preview of a lifetime. They don't have to buy but should experience this once in their lives.
Dominica - tour to the Falls
Curacao taxi to Aquarium Beach w/ $5 entry fee per person inc. chair, locker etc. On return, have taxi leave you off in downtown, do a walking tour and walk over the Pontoon Bridge back to the pier.
Isla Margarita - tender into port - walk to the Right for a beach, but its not the best. This is the only port where we ever stayed on the ship!
Bon Voyage
