I haven't seen anyone post this but Infinity is doing a 15 day sailing round trip from San Diego, to Hawaii on 12/5/2004. I have never seen a price this low. The prices are half of what Princess is charging and 1/4 what HAL is charging. It is wonderful to see Celebrity bring out such a deal this far ahead.

hey jeannine --

have you been following all the posting activity on this cruise on the cruise critics boards? someone used the term feeding frenzy, and that is just what it is. the prices are the best i have ever seen for this kind of trip, and then there is the additional benefit of avoiding ensenada. are you going? i am in a FV corner, and have already promised to host a party for fellow posters. Yikes -- hope the balcony can hold that many -

Hey Billi, i sure have been following it over there. I notice that Celebrity on their website raised all of the prices, but even still the prices are incredible. I'm sure HAL and Princess are not happy with the giant sucking sound of people cancelling their cruises to take advantage of this one. Wouldn't it be fun to have a cruisefare war like a airfare war? I know alot of the big cruise agencies got on the bandwagon and booked group space.

What surprises me is that HAL and PRincess have not lowered their prices to try to grab some of us who are booking with Celebrity. I have cruised all three lines, and enjoy all three -- I am happily looking forward to the Infinity, but would have been perfectly satisfied to book the Statendam or Island Princess -- though the CC group that is forming is just too wild! This one is going to be one great cruise!

Do you mean the rate of $1,300 for an inside cabin? After various port charges and fees etc. it will be about $96 a day per person. Not a bad rate. I just booked a January 9th 2003 Mercury 10 day Mexico out of San Diego for $87 a day including all port fees and taxes. Frankly, any time your are under $100 a day it's a great rate.

Well I know cruisequick had insides for 999.00 including port chages. celebrity on thier webite last ime I looked were up to 1325.00, still a good deal but a big agency that booked group space right away is the best way to go. At 999.00 for 15 days that is 66.60 per day. It's no wonder they anticipate a record sell out.

Booked this through a UK Travel agency for £2378 for 2 in a Deluxe ocean view stateroom. This works out at approx $4200. I get the impression I could get this a lot cheaper if booking in US. Add another $2000 for flights & Hotels, etc, and you realise these really are "once in a lifetime" trips.

Until the next one lol

So remmber, all you Americans out there. If you meet a Brit called Geoff on the cruise, buy the poor guy a Beer!

hey Geoff
I just met a brit named (?) on a ship last week. He could not stop telling everyone about the great deals he gets "Over there" . Uses a broker or something for sort of last minute bookings and figures he beats us all. Only uses "Packages" flt/transfers/cruise etc. Try that!!??
