Have taken this train and it is a grreat way to travel between the two cities. You get into downtown (almost ) Vancouver around noonish (Train time) and a taxi to the port (Either dock) is about 10 mins.Upgrade to business class for extra comfort. and quicker boarding. You can check bags no problem. Customs/Immigration is in Vancouver and easy. Business class gets off first and you get your baggage as you walk to the front of the train.
