Ground transportation

Hi all,

I already booked Liberty of the Sea cruise going to Caribbean on Dec 15th of 2007. I’m very excited about it since my girlfriend and I wanted to go somewhere for a while now. This is my second cruise with RC, but first one where I have to fly to a different city to board the cruise. I live in LA, and the boarding port is Miami.

I have booked my own flight separate from my cruise. The flight arrives at Miami airport around 10:30. I have paid extra for ground transportation service by RC. It was 30 dollars per person. Does anyone here more details about this transport between airport to the port? Here are some questions that I had:

What is the earliest that I can catch this buss at the airport?

What is the earliest that the ship will be ready to board? I read somewhere that it was 12pm, but I’m not sure.

Any info about this is most appreciated. :)

When you arrive at the baggage area, start watching for an RCI representative, the are usually easy to spot. Check in with them as they will have a list that should have your name on it, grab your bags and they will direct you to the bus area. Usually they will try to group several flights arriving within the same time period so that they can fill a bus but you won't be going anywhere till the bus is full. The RCI rep can probably give you a fair estimate on the waiting time but look at it this way, since you have transfers, once your on that bus the ship ain't leaving without you.

Flying from Michigan, we've been in as early as 10:00am, and there has always been an RCI representative waiting for us. However, being in that early can mean a longer wait until your bus is full, and you depart for the port - but as boB mentioned, the ship won't leave without you. We've finally decided after several cruises it's much easier (and sometimes not that much more costly than the transfers)to hop in a cab and go on our own.
