Don Clark is right; sometimes they are assigned far in advance and other times not long before sailing. By bringing up pre registration forms it will have you number if one has been assigned. I know what you are going through, HAL normally waits til a month or less prior to sailing to assign cabins and I we, with friends are in a guar cabin for our sailing in November.
