Signing the paperwork for my van! Jane decided to go ahead and let me have it now, so I knew I needed a temporary license. I had to run out and get the title,(she lives an hour away). Good think she went with me to the license office. They told me on the phone all I needed was my personal property tax receipt and the title. Yeah, right!
I had to show the safety inspection, the immisions inspection, bill of sale and the title. She had to bring the statement from the bank that she had paid off the loan, and since her husband's name was on the title, his death certificate. Of course we didn't have all of that with us on the first trip, good think she lives close to the office. Nothing is ever easy, is it? but the title transfer is all done and it is all mine! My insurace agent even emailed me the insurance ID card, so we are all set.
Tomorrow my BF Anita and her DH are meeting me at Janes's house to pick it up. Anita will drive my car home. Jane has no idea how to put the scooter into the back of the van, the lift looks daunting. Also, we have to put the 3rd seat in there somewhere, we can't install it with the lift installed. They are bringing their pick up truck for that. And of course, we need the DH to do all that work, and take off her license plates.
We are expecting rain and fog and some snow, so when the sun shines again I will take some photos.
