Hagar the Horrible Photos

For those who might think my story was made up...

There is a glass cover to this, so I had to angle the photos a bit to minimize glare from the flash.

The first, obviously is the entire piece, framed.

Next is the top portion that's self-explanatory.

The next two photos are of Hagar and Helga ashore in Lerwick (Shetland Islands) after the Vikings raided Crystal Harmony and abducted them ashore. They're in the center of the photographs, with some of their Viking abductors surrounding them.

Once again, this should demonstrate what I've often said - Crystal is not a stuffy cruise line!

That is so cool, Mary Ann!
It was so nice of Chris to do the cartoon for you and Topaz! I can see that Snert has signed the cartoon too.
It must have been a very nice experience.
I hope Pucci is not too envious...

Chris looks like Hagar the Horrible, and if I remember correctly so did his father Dik.

Snert is called Sniff here in Sweden. Appropriate enough there are also some small ducks in that series.

Thank you for sharing this memory!

Thank you. This was a very pleasant memory indeed! The only thing that could have improved the day was no rain!!!

No, Pucci is not jealous - this happened a couple of years before he was born.

As for ducks, Erik, the one in the comic here goes "Qvack"!

Oh, I almost forgot "Kvack" as her name is here in Sweden. She (I guess it's a she) has 6 ducklings also nowdays. Hagar has to babysit the ducklings every now and then, which he is not happy with ("Why shall I, a dreaded Viking, have to babysit the ducklings?").

Fortunately, the Duck Crew hadn't been created yet when I met Hagar and Helga!:whistle::whistle:

It's great to have memorable encounters on your cruises. We sailed with Brent Nixon on one of our =X= cruises, and then ended up on a whale watching excursion with him and Bowzer from ShaNaNa. Two very nice men. What a great excursion that was! Brent Nixon narrated the entire time, and when our whale blew a bubble trap Brent about went nuts. We were with Captain Larry in Juneau, and I was laughing with him about Brent. He had his head in his hands, and said it's always like this when he's onboard one of his boats, Brent goes nuts and everyone loves it! Later in the cruise I was at their health food bar by the pool, and so was Brent Nixon, and we had lunch together. He said that though we only saw that one whale, he had never seen a Bubble Trap being blown before, and it was so exciting for him. It was exciting for me just to have him narrating it all for us!

I never doubted it happened either. Thanks for sharing. Like I said before, what a treasure to have.
