I think most of the ships now have dryers but they aren't always as strong as some like. I have short hair that dries quickly on its own so the ones in the cabins work great for me: DH doen's usually use one. If you have long or very thick hair you may want to lug yours along. If you don't have to don't; every little thing less packed is less weight. starting out nothing seems that heavy, a week or two later, coming back verything including us weigh several lbls more. LOL
