The reference in the review is not a cabana.
Sue is referring to wooden cabanas HAL built on the beach at HMC. They are fabulous and we had the use of one last summer when on Maasdam.
They are a very luxurious, comfortable way to "go to the beach".
Each cabana (I think there are now three of them) has a counter along the back wall with a sink and cabinets (one with a lock if you wish to secure something) and on the counter they place very attractive platters of salsa and chips; fruit; veggies...
Each has air conditioning, small frig; ice chest with beer, soft drinks, water. Nice rattan table and four chairs. Rental is $125 (approx) for two persons and $25 pp extra to a maximum of six people.
Each person gets a floating mat, snorkeling gear....
Beautiful floral bouquet on table.
They are first offered for rental to "PS" and "S". IF on a particular cruise, they are not rented by those cabins, perhaps they are then available (through shore excursion office) to other cabins. But, I would think they are scooped up quickly by "PS" or "S".
Make arrangements through Concierge in Neptune Lounge, if you wish.
The other reference is simply to canvas covers to provide shade on the beach. They are big enough to just fit two lounges under.
