Half Moon Cay

Hi all!

My husband and I are taking our first HAL cruise 3/23 on the Maasdam. We're stopping at HMC and are wondering if there is a charge for the food there? It looks like their offering some great eats and we're just unsure if this is considered "cruise food" or food from a vendor.

Thanks for the help!

Nope, no charge for the food on Half Moon Cay. Eat up; BBQ ribs and chicken, hamburgers, sausage dogs, slaw, salad, potato salad, etc., etc.

Only thing you pay for are beverages that you would pay for while on board the ship.

They have complimentary iced water and iced tea....

WE Love lunch at Half Moon...The only place in the world we ever eat ribs. They are so messy to eat that only in a bathing suit at picnic tables on the beach in the beautiful setting of Half Moon Cay , can I really enjoy them,.....and the brownies and cookies are sooooo good. :)

If Half Moon Cay isn't Paradise, it's good enough for me! It is always one of our favorite days of every Caribbean cruise.

We loved it there, It was the best stop on the Western Cruise, and you didn't have to do anything but play in the water, and layout on the lounge chair, and get a tan/red (I am a Blond) and relax.

Sabina,

Half Moon Cay is the greatest. It really is one of the most beautiful places. Remember your suntan lotion and enjoy those ribs!!!
I am on the same cruise. See you on board.

My wife and I will also be onboard. Not our first cruise, but we had the same question. We look forward to an enjoyable 2 weeks.

Welcome to Cruise @ddicts.

A LOT has changed on Half Moon Cay since this thread was started in 2003.

Half Moon Cay is amazing. I remember there was soooo much foooood. I was so stuffed but it was amazing, and the beach was so beautiful! The Captain Morgan club is a neat addition as well.

Just checked the calender, and we will be there enjoying all that HMC has to offer in only 16 days. Can't wait to dig into those ribs, lol.
