We went on the Carnival Conquest for a Halloween cruise and had a blast. So much fun, in fact, that we are going again this year on the Conquest out of Galveston. OCT 2007. I do have a suggestion for costumes-it was much hotter than expected and my daughter's heavy costume was very uncomfortable. I'd wear something light and use a coverup if it gets too chilly. Take things to decorate your cabin door and your cabin-it made it so much more fun, and it makes it easier to spot your cabin if you are a few sheets to the wind. I take a bag of mixed candies for the grandkid and she can sit on the bunk and rummage through it just like at home. As soon as you get on ship there are crew in costumes who will pose with you for the picture gallery. Do all the pictures-you never know which one you actually look human in and you don't have to buy anything if you don't want to.As always, we found that our attitude made the cruise. Be sure to get out there as soon as the fun starts on deck and join in. I made the mistake of trying to catch my breath first in the cabin, don't stay in the cabin-get right out there! I'm nearly 70 and I gotta get the most out of it while I still can.Bon Voyage,Sunrise in Louisiana
