Has anyone that has had a cove balcony on the Dream had to have the foul weather door closed and if so what can you tell me about it. What was the circumstances, did the wave break on the balcony, how long were they closed, did the staff have to come in to close and open them? Anything else you can tell me.

Thanks
Kevin

Yes, they closed them one evening on our Transtatlantic crossing last November due to rough seas about 5:30 in the evening. They do not come into your room as they make their way down the balconies from the outside, closing the doors as they go. You can still see out your window. Then next day they were open. Another day the seas were rough but they didn't close them that time. We LOVED the cove balcony and will book it again if we sail a ship with them. Here are a few videos I took....

This is the rough day that they did not close the balcony: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFw2sEx-2NY

Kevin, she actually rides the rough weather pretty well. If you look at the horizon in the second video you will see she is on a pretty even keel. As a side note the corridors on this deck are actually a bit wider then on the upper decks.
