Pat, I have not purchased batik; however, on a recent cruise stop in Belize I went into a fabric store and was surprised to see a very large selection of nice quality, beautiful fabrics. I purchased a pretty rayon tropical border print (with Belize printed on it). It was the exact fabric that I had seen made up at some of the resort-wear boutique-type shops at the tourist center. The fabrics were very reasonably priced. I can't pass a fabric store without going in. I have a fabric stash to prove it. Have fun.
