As BarbaraK says, it is VERY easy to take the $5 bus to Mendelhall Glacier. We were there last week and did the same thing. There are 3-4 different kiosks at the pier when you arrive in Juneau. Any one of them is just great. It is $5 per person each way, so $10 round trip. The buses run every 15-20 mins. if they are on time, so you have nothing to worry about.We also did the Capt Larry whalewatch. It was great. We saw a pod of at least 8 humped back whales!!! What fun! Weather was great! Hope yours is too! Have fun!
