We were talking yesterday about something that happened a while back...

Last spring, we were in Florida. We were with a family group and had spent some time in southern Florida. We drove up to Orlando for a couple days, then we were heading home flying out of Tampa.

We had rented two cars because of our group size, and we talked about stopping for gas before turning the cars in at the Tampa airport.

So we were driving across state, pull off the exit near Lakeland, and everyone piles out of the two cars, for a bathroom break, etc.

We went inside the store and standing there is my neice! She said "what are you guys doing here?" (We knew they had been down in Florida visiting their inlaws, but really didn't have clue where).

So here we are, a thousand miles from home, and we bump into my sister's daughter in the middle of the state of Florida!

What are the odds of them being in the same gas station, at the same time?? Amazing!

Has that ever happened to you? Have you ever met up with someone you knew while traveling far from home?

:lol :lol Yep, it happend to me this weekend. We went up to spend the weekend on our friend's boat in Wildwood NJ. On Saturday the 4 of us went to the Garden State Wine Festival in Cape May then stopped at a marine supply store for some stuff Bruce needed to winterize their boat. We walk in and there is my sister and BIL walking out. Now yes, they too live in NJ but not in this area. They do have their camper at a campground about 20 miles away but with all the camper and marine supply stores up by them what were the odds that we would all be at that particular store in Cape May at the exact same time. LOL she didn't even know I was coming up to NJ for the weekend. So, I had to meet up with her again on Sunday at my parents as she had a gift she wanted me to take back to VA for her grandbaby Randy.

when I was in 5th grade we moved into a home in San Diego and before long discovered that one of our neighbors had been on the same long Navy ship crossing that we were on when we returned from Japan 4 years earlier.

Before I was married to my husband, he had spent a weekend camping with my family, about a 4 hour drive from here.

I rode home with him, and on the way back we had a minor accident, but the car was undrivable. (Broke the clutch). We got out and sat on the side of the road, and a truck pulled up and stopped. The man got out of the car and said hello to my fiance, by name. Turned out it was his next door neighbor!

About 5 years ago we vacationed in Panama City Beach Florida. We had seen a young couple every day we were there. We went to a Birthday party for my nephews girlfriend the day after we got back. The couple from our hotel was at the party. He turned out to be the Birthday girls brother. My sons had said they thought they knew him, but couldn't figure out who he was.=COOL

So I guess it is a small world....it's happened to so many of you too.

I have a really good one I'll share with everyone later. It's kind of a long story, but it's a good one. Right now, I have to run with DD and pick up some Thai food.

My hubby and I were on a cruise in the Cayman islands and on one of the excursions he ran into a neighbor he grew up with across the street from him when they were kids.
