well i am so looking forward to going here because it will be a new island for me and my husband. i have some questions if anyone can answer them.
1) is cococay and grand bahama the one in the same island?
2) my girlfriend who has been to these ports will be staying on the ship which ok by me. she says she as done evrything there that she wants to do but is there so little to do that someone could say that? mind you she cruise no less than once a year. this is her hobby. i am trying my best to catch up but probably never will. i know one thing i will have fun trying.
3) is there anything that stands out on either of these ports that is a must do thing?
thanks for all the input that anyone can give. i will be looking forward to some answers.

1. Atlantis- limited viewing area, if in port late, you can see the dig for free after about 6pm when the guard leaves.

2. walking tour of historic buildings http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=332656

unsure if that thread is allowed, link to another chat site but it is full of pictures of the bahamas and everything on the tour, it's excellent. If I broke the rules, I'm truly sorry, just trying to help.

3. day pass at the british colonial hotel and full use of the facilities fr $15, its a 10 minute walk and you can see the hotel and vise versa the ships from the beach, they provide towels, chairs.

4. basic shopping and haggling at a hot and crowded straw market which has great quality knock off purses.

5. you can do he wyndham for free on cable beach $6 per cab each way or catch the jittney bus for $1, bus stops about 6pm, then a cab is available.

have fun, I loved it!
