Hello fellow cruisers, this is my first time posting here, just want to start by saying how great it is to find like minded cruise addicts!!!
My husband and I are recently retired and love cruising. We recently moved from the West Coast of Florida, to the East Coast of Florida and are finally looking forward to our first and only cruise this year. It is only a short one, but on one of Royal Carribean's newer (built within the last five years) type ships. Our cruise is on November 28th, going out of Miami for four (4) days on The Liberty of the Seas, to Cozumel. Even though it is a short cruise, to a port that we have visited twice before, I feel, is almost any cruise not a good cruise? By chance is anyone else here on this forum going on the same cruise? This will be our first time on the Freedom Class ship. If any of you been on this class before, what if any advice or information would you have for us about this type ship? Talk, tell about your opinion of its' good, and not so good features. We have booked an Aft. balcony cabin on the extreme right corner. I know that we will have a larger and odd shaped cabin and balcony with at least one column in the room. We are looking forward to checking it out, and to having more room on the balcony. Also know that we will have quite a long walk to and from the cabin to elevators/stairs to go anywhere on the ship, so hope that the cabin/balcony makes it worth it. Looking forward to using the cantilevered whirlpools in the solarium, and to watching and rooting for the people on the flow riders, which I can imagine could be quite fun and entertaining. Still trying to decide what kind of shore excursion to do at Cozumel. Thinking about maybe a day at Xel-Ha all inclusive. Anyone done that shore trip before?
Anyway, looking forward to hearing from the Cruise Addicts here. Thank you for your input.:sunny:
