b. looks like empress deck is available as i will be cat 11, suite...any suggestions if other decks are available or where on empress should I get cabin?

any help is appreciated, I really am new at this

also, is the deposit or payment refundable if you change your mind? probably not but thought I would ask, havent looked at all the rules yet...

thanks!

A) I don't know, I have never tried. If I want to play a DVD I use my laptop.

B) I would suggest mid ship.

C) Deposit - your deposit is refundable up until the time final payment is due (usually 75 to 90 days prior to the cruise). However, Carnival offers a special "Early Saver" rate which does include a NON-refundable deposit.

Hello Randy's

I probably can't help with your other questions, but as for refundablity, the answer is, "it depends". It depends on when you will be cruising and which type of fare you booked. Their general cancellation policy shows penalties as follows:

2, 3, 4, and 5 day cruises
Up to 61 days--None (except for Cruise-To-Nowhere and Early Saver Fares*)
60 to 30 days--Amount of Deposit
29 to 8 days--- 50% of Total Fare
7 days or less--100% of Total Fare

6, 7 and 8 day cruises
Up to 76 days--None (except for Early Saver Fares*)
75 to 30 days--Deposit
29 to 8 days----50% of Total Fare
7 days or less--100% of total fare

(for longer cruises the rest of the policy is on the web page)

So if you are going on a seven day cruise, and if you booked with one of their regular fares, and if it is more than 61 days until you are to cruise, then there is no penalty, and you would get ALL your money back.

But IF you booked a cruise using their newer Early Saver option, the deposit is non-refundable, right from the date of booking. SOME changes can be made, for a $50 per person charge. The full policy is on their web page.

Yes, if you are cruising on September 5th, AND if you have booked the regular fare, then you can get a full refund now through June 21. (Maybe they mean the 22st, but you should check with your booking agent)

Then from June 23 through August 6 you would lose your deposit.

Some TV's have inputs some don't, I think it depends on whether the Sony or the Toshiba salesman was in town when
they were building the ship. Of the ones I have seen they will be RCA jack inputs and have R/L audio and a video, never
seen a composite and there is a small chance if you get a TV that is flat panel it might have an S-VIDEO input. If you
normally carry those cables with you, you should have it covered if the TV has jacks.
