Help! Transfers to the Mercury

I messed up! We are flying to San Francisco on Saturday for an 8 day cruise on the Mercury and I neglected to buy transfers to the pier. I have contacted our travel agent and they have to be purchased 2 weeks in advance. So, does anybody have any advice for me? I am assuming that we can make arrangements at the airport. We will arrive at 12:30 and the ship sails at 8:00. On the way back I am a little nervous because the ship docks at 8:00 a.m. and our flight is at 12:20.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Lisa, Good News.
There is the "BART" Bay Area Rapid Transit Train "SUBWAY" which has recently been extended to the SFO airport. You can take the BART from SFO to the foot of Market Street in San Francisco. From there you can catch a Taxi or Trolly Bus to the pier. Once you get to the foot of Market Street. You can ask for directions to the pier from one of the BART attendants or some San Franciscan. I happen to live in Sonoma County. You can also pull up some schedules from the internet for the BART and busses so you will be prepared when you arrive. I would guess it is about 30 minute trip on the BART give or take a couple. My wife and I are taking the May 5th Celebrity 12 day Cruise to Alaska on the Mercury. Possibly you are taking the same cruise.....Tim
Opps! After rereading your question I see we are on different cruises. Same advice applies though.

I'm sure what Tim wrote will work. I wonder though how difficult it would be to schlep your luggage on BART and buses. We have taken a limo, which we picked up at the airport without reservations, to Fisherman's Wharf Hotels. This is the same area from which you'll sail. I don't recall the price but it was reasonable. I'd think you might be able to find information doing a search for SFO airport information. Good luck.

Forget the bart. I did it to downtown SFO with only a carry on bag and it is not that easy. Especially with lots of luggage. Just pay for a taxi or limo, but when you come back, the ship will let you buy transfers if you like.
