I need some help. My poor hubby can hear me through his ear plugs. He says "How can something so loud come out of someone so Tiny"? I'm 5'8" and 115lbs. I use that spray,it only helps a little. Do you know of any devices that you can wear that stops you from snoring.

I think you should check with your doctor - one of the signs of Sleep Apnea is snoring. If you snore that loud you may have it.

Otherwise - have you tried the "Breathe Right" Strips - they help you breath easier and snore less.

Also, I find running a vaporizor to keep moisture in the air helps Jim and I both snore less.

Let me now what you find out and do.

If you haven't already done so do as Donna suggested and check with your Dr. This really isn't a laughing matter. I know someone that died of sleep apnea! Make sure it is not the problem you have and if it is there are things that can be done that might save your life.

I agree with Beryl and Donna. Tell your doctor what you've told us, and ask to have a sleep study done. You'll be monitored, and a device, if needed, will be prescribed based upon the test results. My husband had this done several years ago, and now has a C-PAP machine. It's saved his health (if not his life), and allowed me to sleep comfortably again, too.

I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea last May. I also have a c-pap machine. It has a nose or face mask that you wear and they configure the compressed air to just the right amount to stop the snoring (it holds your airway open). I have snored loudly for years (and have always still been tired during the day) but never in a million years thought that I had Sleep Apnea. Get checked out and then you'll know.

all of the above! in addition, try not to sleep on your back, as this exacerbates the airway issue.

OK....since this sounds like sleep apnea is a serious problem........how would one know if they snore if they live alone??? I'm divorced and haven't been in a, shall we say, "bedroom relationship" in years. So how would I know. If I do snore, it obviously doesn't wake me up since pretty much the only time I wake up during the night is if I have to make a trip to the bathroom. And if I do snore, either a little or a lot, my furbabies sure wouldn't tell me! :lol

looks like you've got it covered

I would also recommend elevating the head of the bed. This can help. Definitely agree with asking your doctor!

I was having this issue when I was on the steroids for cancer, because it puffed me out , including my neck. We raised the head of the bed and this really helped out. Oh yeah, and a wedge pillow.

See your doc, this is something that can be cured, and can be deadly if not fixed.
