Sorry they are breaking with tradition of using Dutch names.
She'll probably (lovingly) be referred to as E-Dam.....as in Edam cheese.

I have a friend (at HAL) who teasingly refers to the Oosterdam as the Oysterdam - and I'll be darned if I can pronounce her name without first hesitating.

E-dam sounds like she'll be a real beauty. Can't wait to see and sail her. We're hoping to sail her Inaugural from Rotterdam.

I think it is a name chosen without any fantasy....
There are so many beautiful old cities in NL ending on ...dam, which were used in the past by HAL too.
Besides...many people in Europe are still not that happy with the Euro, so if you pronounce the name Eurodam in a slighly different way...it sounds like a bad joke!
I am sure the ship will be much nicer thaen its name.
