Alaska is a beautiful place to cruise. I have done so quite a few times and will do so many more times. I highly recommend taking a cruise that will take you all the way up to Ankorage or back from Ankorage. Even though the entire route is beautiful, in my opinion, the best views from the ship come after you have left the inside passage and go all the way up.Glacier Bay is also the best of the glaciers to see from a cruise ship.Most any cruise line will do a great job in Alaska so the best thing to do is find a cruise line that fits you. You can read reviews on the boards but the best way to do this is through a good TA. If a TA is not answering your questions or you feel they are not listening to what you are saying find another TA. Try to find a TA that does know something about all or most of the cruise lines not one that just pushes one cruise line.Your TA should be trying to find out what you like not what they like.
