Hi, I'm arranging my honeymoon Caribbean cruise...first cruise for us,
I have a lot of doubt especially about the ship..
As far as I undurstand, Celebrity fleet is great, but every ship is a different experience..
Would you please help me with the following ships? Any comment?
Are they particularly different or, in your opinion well/not well suited
for honeymooners/first cruisers?

Summit
Millenium
Equinox

Any feedbak is really appreciate, thanks

If you want the more mature line (I don't mean for old fogies either) you can't go wrong with any of those ships.
Summit and Millennium are the same class and and have been around for while now. I love the M class.

Equinox is their newer ship and of their newest class. It would be great for first timers also. It has also all the bells and whistles and the latest programs.

Make sure which ever ship you sail on that the staff knows you are on your Honey Moon and
for sure you should know that you don;t have to leave the room for anything. Room service is available for all your needs.

Hi BSeabob, thanks! Equinox looks great but what about the itinerary? I haven't been there but eastern caribbean seems more attractive then western... btw, do you think that as first cruise/honeymoon the summit/millenium would be as good as the Equinox? As a newcomer, I cannot see how a smaller one could compete with it..thanks again

East vs West for first time cruisers I don't think should be a factor to be concerned about at all. It might be for cruisers that have been to both..they might have a preference but if it's all new for you guys either will be great . Pick the one that fits your dates you can't go wrong.

Regarding ship size those two M class ships are by no means small. The only thing they can't compare with is the fact of the newness and bells and whistles of the S class. Personally I found the S class too big and a little busy for my liking but (you never told us your ages) that might be more up your alley. The grass on the S class and Glass shows are really something to see.

I guess what I'm saying is that both class of ships have things to offer and you cant go wrong. I suspect if budget is a factor the M class would be worth a second look. Don't forget to factor in TAxes, Port Charges and Tip expectations of the crew into your plans

The M class ships are one of our favourites, especially the aft cabins :sunny:

Thank everyone for your suggestion..
I got a really competitive offer from Celebrity for a balcony guarantee on Solstice 7 days (cheaper then the inside!) and I think tomorrow I'll book it. In addition, I'll stay few days in Miami before...What do think about this cruise? Has Solstice any balcony obstructed or something to be aware of?

btw I was wondering if it's worth to ask for an upgrade to Concergie or Acqua classes, but how much at most?...Any hint before my phone booking tomorrow?
Many thanks

Solstice balconies are all good except for a few on the lowest deck with balconies where the larger life boats used as tenders rise above the balcony level to somewhat obstruct the view. There are some cabins on the "hump" on either side have balconies that are bigger also. Im not sure of the numbers but makes sure whoever you talk with is aware that you do not want the former and do want the later if available. All balconies are about the same size in most of the categories unless you go upscale. Aft cabin balconies on the Solstice are nice but are not large like the M class ones that BarbaraK likes so much
I would also recommend that you try to get a cabin as close to an elevator bank as possible to save time getting to and from you cabin

Re upgrades. They can happen but seldom do without cost. It's a matter of ship filling in certain categories and luck.

We were on the Solstice last April which is a very nice ship -- a lot of honeymooners - not matter what cruise you choose, you will have a fantastic. You can not go wrong, you are on a cruise and your honeymoon
