Just returned from Hawaii a month ago. Do not stay at the Reef unless you like construction and noise. Also , the Hilton's "lagoon" is completely under construction also. Big ugly hole with a fence around it. May I suggest the other Outrigger hotel on the beach, called (lol) "The Outrigger on the Beach". Dukes restaurant and bar are there, and the beach is great right there.
