Hooked!

We just got back from our first cruise. It was on the victory and we had a blast. It was 100x more than I expected. I can not stop thinking about it. I now see what everyone on this site is talking about. Unfortunatley, I left my job to return to school so it might be awhile before we are able to go again. I see that the Victory is rated as average compared to some of the other Carnival ships. If it is average I can't imagine what the others are like. Thanks for all the info from eveyone. We had the time of our life.

Glad to hear you had such a wonderful time! We felt the same way you do when we went on our first cruise almost 9 years ago. We thought it was the greatest vacation in the world and were in awe of everything. Funny thing is that we went on a really small ship that wasn't very new and we thought it was huge and wonderful. Then we went on RCCL Voyager of the Seas and were amazed at the difference in size and activities. We still love to cruise as much as we did then. Our next cruise is in April on the Valor and we can't wait. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long before your next one.

Cruising is very addicting-- We took our first cruise in Aug 2000 onboard the Sensation. and been cruising since. I am sure you will find a way to get onboard another ship soon.
I have three booked--- Liberty in Feb. Destiny in Sept and Caribbean Princess 02/07

Being hooked on cruising is not a bad thing. LOL Well, bad for the wallet, maybe, but there are always great deals to be found.

I haven't heard that the Victory has been thought of as 'average'. All ships are different, and are unique unto themselves. Basically the same in service, entertainment, and food, but all a little different, too. I've been on several different Carnival ships (and other lines), and I have enjoyed each one....some more than others, but nevertheless a great value for your vacation bucks!

Hope you get to cruise again soon.
