Horizon or Zenith?

We are considering cruising to Bermuda on the Horizon or Zenith in 2003. Has anyone taken either of these ships to Bermuda and could tell us something about the ship and ports. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have been on both ships and they are very nice. You get a $50 coupon if you sail on the Horizon that you can use while in Bermuda. You will love Bermuda. When are you going to sail in 2003?

Was a passport necessary to Bermuda. I have an elderly aunt that does not think she needs one. I am trying to get her to get one, but if she does not will she have trouble with only a raised seal birth certificate and her driver's license?

My advice is to have your aunt get the passport.

It didn't used to be necessary, but I've been told that a passport will expedite your excursions and travels while in port.
Also, a passport is designed for ID-ing you when you travel, and is more readily accepted by the local officials, while a birth certificate isn't.
Besides, a passport can be re-issued by the US consul if you lose it, which is something that yu can't have done with a birth certificate.

Either ship is great. Personally, I think Zenith has a bit of decorative edge.

A passport is not presently required, but it sure makes life a LOT easier. By next year, it might be required so I'd get one now.
