Stay at the Marriott Waterside.... Really nice on the channel, also next to the convention center, St. Pete Time Fourm, History Museum, and Channelside. The Hotel is a short walk away from the terminal(The hotel is on the Tampa River Walk which connects to the port). Im pretty sure there is a Enterprise rent a car shop across the street at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Theres really no need for a shuttle unless you use it from the airport or where ever.
