How did you come up with your user name?

As a follow-up to the Roll Call, how did you come up with your user name? My "real" name is Karen. When I tried to join the forum way back using Cruisin' Karen it wouldn't accept me. Seems someone else had the same user name (don't know where she has been =shrug) Everyone in college called me Karry so that's the name I registered under. And now I am so used to being called that by all my friends here that if someone calls out my DIL's name (Keri) I answer :lol So, come on, SHARE! :grin

Was living in MA back then. Although I never lived in Boston I lived about an hour outside the city. No one would recognize the name of the Town I lived in, so I just added Boston's to my first initial J. for Judy.

My name is Denise...my sister couldn't pronounce it and called me "Niecie" when we were little...I added the z on the end because our last name begins with a z...hence: nieciez

When we first started cruising back in the 80's, we became addicted to reggae music. we could listen to it at home, and bring back our love of the islands all over again :)

So I decided reggae would be a good board name too :) :)

Hey logcabin....I'd love to see a picture of your home, if you get a chance to post it....that's my husband's dream...to live in a log cabin!

Mine wasn't really a lack of imagination, just a lack of computer savvy. The very first time I used the computer and I was at a site where I was askded to type what my user name was I just typed my first name, but I was in a hurry and forgot to capitalize the H. Hence.....herb

I lived in Boston and I'm irish - go figure! Bostongal just seemed to fit and it stuck. Now it's my name everywhere I post.

My English name is Rhoda, but my Hebrew name is Ruchela -- that's why I used this name.

My last name has the word pronounced *lady* in it.

My daughter's friend nicknamed her *ladybug*, and I thought it was cute.

I was new to computers at the time and needed to think of a word I would remember and that was an easy one for me. It stuck for all these years.

Mine is my name. I gave up on "Lady Jag". I never really liked it. Everyone already knew me by my real name anyway! :lol

Kinda complicated but it kinda makes sense or no sense.

Once upon a time I had an email addy for my dog that I used when I didn't want places sending me spam & junk. Her name was Star and she was red. Redstar didn't work so I went through various acceptable red shades and then through celestial terms. I forget if I created the name for this forum or another, but I use it everywhere.

My real name is Glorya (yes, a Y. It's on my birth certificate, and has caused me numerous problems. In high school, someone wrote it down wrong or read it wrong, so on my first day of classes, I was registered at George, and had all boys classes. I didn't mind giving up the gym class, but I really wanted to take shop. Nope, not a girls class!)

My ex-boss at the casino used to call me Globug and it just stuck. I haven't worked there for years, and people from there still call me Globug. They used to call me G-Lo too! LOL!
