How do you get your luggage on the Infinity?

On the Monarch last year, all luggage for our floor was deposited in the elevator lobby... we discovered it quite by accident, and joined in the hunt for our bags. Glad for the rainbow luggage straps, as they did make it easier to find.

Will it be the same on the Infinity?

Is it like this on all cruise lines? I would think the higher end lines might bring them to your room?

Hey Glorya!

They will be brought to your cabin and left outside the door. Just check periodically to see if they are there yet.

Char, this cruise is sounding better and better! Champagne when I get there, my luggage brought to my room, a great room and a great neighbor to look forward to... I can't wait!

We've been on Norwegian, RCCL and Celebrity (our favorite) and have never had to hunt for our luggage! It's always been brought to our stateroom door. I can't imagine the mess in the lobby with the entire deck's luggage there!

After looking through all the luggage, we were still missing hubby's luggage. About 10 pm, he was done with being patient, and went searching on his own. Seems they found something in his manicure set or something, I can't remember now, and had set his bag aside. So he finally got his bag, after opening it and letting them take the offending item out. He was told he could pick it up at disembarkation.

When we disembarked, and just before we stepped out of the terminal, was a table loaded with all kind of items that had been confiscated. His item was wrapped up, with his name, suite no., etc. on it, but it still took him 10 minutes to prove to their satisfaction that he was who he said he was.

Barbara, that's the cruise I wanted, since we live so close to SF! However, DD is still in school, so that one will have to wait. We are taking the Infinity out of SF June 9, but it disembarks in Vancouver. SF-SF will be great! Do you live nearby too?

What cabin do you have? I want to hear all about it! Be sure you do a review when you return!

DH and I live in San Jose, so not to far from San Fran. We are traveling with friends so we have ajoining rooms. Cabins 9118 and 9120. these are both CC class cabins but after reading all the posts Im thinking the extra money might have not been worth it.....I see you are in a FV!! how great is that!! you will have to let me know how that is as we are thinking of trying to get one next year when the inlaws come with us.....

What cabin were you in on Monarch? We were in 6046 That was my first cruise (DH did not go...I went with the wife half of our Alaska companions)
It was a good first cruise....good food and great service.

Barb, if memory serves, we were in JS 1064??? I'd have to look on my old sea pass, but I believe that's right.

Yeah, we are really excited about our FV on the Infinity. I can't imagine cruising without a balcony after our JS on the Monarch. It's really an awesome enhancement to the cruise.

Globug,
You got to your luggage on the Monarch before they could bring it to your cabin. They would have brought it to your cabin, you just beat them to it. They bring up a load and then seperate and deliver it to the proper cabin.
