We usually put an angel, sometimes a star, and sometimes a spire. I like the angel best.
White or colored lights? steady or blinking?
We like the steady burning multicolor "tulip" lights. You know the old fashioned kind that has the clear plastic "leaves" around the outside that reflect the light? We used to do all white steady lights.
Formal tree or family tree? Family tree, some homemade ornaments (this was different before Oliver). we have to put his homemade stuff on the tree - which warms up the tree, and I love it.
Real or artificial. With such a busy schedule, we've gone artificial the past few years, plus it's safer as far as fire hazards. We got a nice artificial one a few years back. Miss the real smell, though.
Is you tree up yet? Ours is up and lighted, but needs decorating. We spent a lot of yesterday pulling down a dead tree in the back yard. So glad that it is down, because it was well positioned to fall on a neighbor's shed. So, it's down now, and everyone and everything is safe.
