How early can you board the Conquest?

Hello, I'm going on my first Carnival cruise and I'm so excited! Anyhow, I was wondering how early you can board the ship? I looked at Carnival.com and it says embarkation begins at 1:30. Can you get in earlier? Is there a time that you think has the shortest waiting time? And if so, when? I'm traveling my toddler so I'd like to go when the line will be shortest.

Generally, 11am-noon [assuming no problems w/previous cruise]. Your shortest wait times are usually around the time I mentioned and 2:30-3:30

You might be able to check in earlier...though you might have to wait a bit longer to actually get on the ship. Most ships let you on as soon as they get everyone off from the previous cruise and the wedding parties on if there are any, etc. Generally speaking 12 noon is the latest "start" time. Lunch is available on the Lido deck starting at 12:30 which is where they would like you to go. They usually request you not go to your cabin until 1:30. (Sorry...we haven't been out of Galveston yet. However this has been what we have found to be true at 6 other ports...for our 12 Carnival cruises.)

Make sure you have your funpass filled out online so that you can get in that line instead of the longer one!

I've never been on the Conquest but on my other Carnival cruises we've always gotten to the port at about 11 am and have been on the ship by about 11:30 am. We have never encountered long lines when arriving by this time and the embarkation process has always gone by quickly. Again, I've never sailed out of the port your sailing from so I don't know if it'll be the same as Miami or Port Canaveral.

=yeah We usually get to the pier between 11 and 11:30. If you are traveling with a toddler and a stroller they usually get you on board first, kind of like the airlines do.

We have always boarded between 11:00 AM- 12 Noon, without any problems. We're going on the Conquest on 2/25/07 and plan on arriving at the terminal around 10:00 AM. My friend has a house on the gulf, in Crystal Beach, so we'll check the webcam that morning (we are both early risers) and head out when we see the ship docking.

If you look at the Carnival Capers, for the Conquest, they start serving lunch on the Lido deck, at noon so I think it's fair to assume that they anticipate people on board by that time.
