Most ships leave from Pier 35. But this year some have left from a new location in South Beach. So, double check Pier 35 is the right place for you

Pier 35 is on the Embarcadero near Bay St. Never heard of it having an address.

If by "downtown" you mean the financial district, that is about a mile from Pier 35.

San Francisco airport to Pier 35 is 15-16 miles. Travel times can vary widely depending on highway traffic and city streets traffic. I could see it taking over an hour in some hellish rush hour scenario.
