I read some where that some of you check to see how full the ship is and what amount of what rooms are full. How do you do this? Where?

I go to any number of online sites and act as if I am looking to book a cruise. You could also call the cruise line direct, although they might try to make it sound as if you should book now, while you have the chance, even though there plenty of berths open. If you are interested in sites that you can look at availability without giving an email address let me know.

We are booked on the fascination for January 2, 2004. When we booked we paid $772 for the 3 of us and the ship was less than 1/3 full. Plenty of cabins left. As of today there are a total of 7 cabins left. I just called Carnival and asked and the price has gone way up to $379 pp for the same 4A Guaranty. Guess our chances of upgrade look pretty grim but we did book a long time ago and the ship was very empty at that point. So you never know we will just hope for the best.

I was told it is impossible to know how full the ship is until it is full.
TA's and travel companies buy blocks of cabins cheaper so that
they have control of offering discounts ,upgrades etc. and upgrades
are done a week to 10days before the cruise when companies
release unsold cabins I may be wrong but I've gone to one web site
and 12 cabins left and another site they had only 2 and neither
were the same.
