How many times do you need to sail?

We went on our first cruise last month and had the red, white and blue cards. DD who sailed last year with the choir for the first time was given the gold card so it must just be once before

My understanding is they just recently started this program, like this past Spring or Summer.

The gold sail & sign card is new, and you only need one prior cruise to get it.

You get a gold card on your secod cruise. a platinum one on your 10th. When did you sail. All ships should have that now.

Are these cards just for status or do you get something extra by having one?

You need one to get in your room, buy things on the ship, and get on and off the ship, so they are not just for status.

Other than making it clear that you are a past passenger, there is no extras that I know of.

Does any one know if short cruises are counted towards what you have been on?

In my past guest history-- my cruises to nowhere are not listed. that is why i am asking that question

Well, so far as I know, there arent any benefits. When DW and sailed Carnival Truimph on June 4 or 7 something like that, that happened to be the color. At first I thought it was just unique to each ship.

The only thing it gets you is an invitation to the past guest party and the staff saying welcome back and please sail with us again.

Serene, do you have your past guest number in your Carnival.com registration? Sometimes that helps bring up your cruise history. mine did not come up until I called Carnival to get my past guest number (the website couldn't find it).

I have every cruise in my past quest history except the legend--which was a weekend cruise to nowhere. and the Miracle this past February. How do we get that page updated??

I was on a 3 day cruise in Jan 2001 and Carnival has that in my history. As far as I know, a short cruise counts just as much as a long cruise - one each.

there is a spot to add cruises you just need your booking number on your profile page :) but carnival told me it usually takes them about 2 months after sail to get that info into their system which makes sense considering every week over 2500 passengers are sailing every ship they own

To update your cruise history, go to the update profile page to email a Carnival rep with the correct information. They will confirm your email in a few days and correct the information. My page had cruises on it I'd never been on and the ones I had taken weren't in there. Carnival corrected the info in about a week.

Shiela: I was able to upgrade my histoy page by talking to someone at Carnival. Now I know that when you call Carnival you can get many different answers to the same question but my cruise to nowhere is counted as a past cruise.

On my last Carnival cruise, about 6 months ago, I was given the platinum S&S card. It's strictly a status-thing, gets you nothing extra except friendly smiles and a few comments and questions as to how many cruises have you taken. LOL (There was a bottle of champagne in my cabin, but no gift card as to whom it was from.....maybe platinum status gets champagne?) No biggie - I don't care what color the card is; I'm just happy to be back on board! LOL
