:wave hi, My husband and I have never had a balcony cabin before so for his 60th birthday we decided to splurge. The travel agent told us that the hump cabins have an advantage but I thought that I had read somewhere that those on the sister ship Freedom of the Seas had something awkward about them. Does anyone have any info about this. It's so nice to be looking forward to a cruise. It has been 4 years since we have been on one.

The hump balconies are great. We got one just by chance on our first cruise on the Navigator. We sailed the Navigator a 2nd time and booked another one. We just got off of the Freedom on Feb 18th, we also booked a hump balcony on that ship, #6640. It's best to book far enough ahead so you can get your pick of cabin. Try to get the cabin on the very front (as in furthest out on the hump)that way you can see both in front of and behind you. They seem to book up pretty quickly. I think you will really like it.
