Looking forward to the Constellation in February 2006.

I booked 7178... a Cat 2B on the Vista Deck.

What information do you have about this cabin? Does anyone have any pictures of it, especially the balcony? I've heard great things about this cabin.

I'm looking forward to my first X cruise B)

We had the one right above it on the Infinity, and doubt that it would be any different on the sistership a deck down. It is a very nice cabin, well laid out, with more than ample storage, move-around-the-cabin room, and a very nice sized balcony. You can actually get reclining-type deck chairs on it in addition to the small table. If you keep the smaller chairs and table, you can easily get six people on the balcony without hurting one another. It is a nice, quiet part of the ship, yet easily accessable to the elevators and stairwells. Being in the middle of the ship, motion is nearly imperceptable. You will find that Celebrity spoils you, and you may find it hard to go back to any other line. Even though every cruise is a good cruise, we find ourselves comparing everything to the Celebrity benchmark. Look how well they fared in the Conde Nast survey!
Have fun--and try the specialty restaurant at least once!

Hucc,
:thumb I hope you enjoy Celebrity as much as we do. It doesn't have all the extra things that the Voyager class ships have like rock climbing etc. but we have been on the Millie a it was very nice. If you are taking Oliver it has a very good childrens program and they have computers and Sony play stations etc. I took a tour of the childrens area and there is pleny for them to do. If you like coffee the Cova Cafe is the place to go, it is in the atrium area and you can sit and people watch while sipping a cappuccino, there is a charge for them, but they are worth it :thumb They also serve pastry's there in the morning, and they don't charge for those. If you want to say hi to us while on the ship they have a nice internet area also. Some of the lifts in the center of the ship are glass so you can look out at the ocean as you go for a ride. The thalassotherepy pool in the solarium is nice an toastie warm, the jets are not as powerful as the ones on the Century class but they are still nice :) and there is a spa cafe with light snacks and juice etc. in the solarium area. Again, I hope you like Celebrity, the service is great and so is the food. Now I want to go :lol

That small cafe in the T-pool area is really really nice early in the AM and for lunch. Might be a little warm if you are doing the caribbean though. Was great in Alaska.

another neat thing I just found out;;;; the Crown & Anchor club with RCL (which, I am a platinum member) has merged with the Celebrity Captain's Club.... So, I'm now a Select member of the Captain's Club with Celebrity

Hucc,
One strange little note about the Cat 2 balconies on the M-Class ships: There are actually certain cabins with double sized balconies...

I figured this one out because my cabin on my upcoming March 19 cruise on the Constellation is in one of these...The first eight balcony cabins in the fronty of the ship on either side of Deck 6 are the "secret cabins": 6035, 6033, 6031, 6029, 6027, 6025, 6023, 6021, 6030, 6028, 6026, 6024, 6022, 6020, 6018 or 6016 ...

If you want an oversized balcony for a Cat 2 price, you might think of switching to one of these..

Here are some photos from some other folks:

The decks below 6 accommodate the lifeboats, but, in front of the lifeboats, Deck 5 and below widen out...So, Deck six...and deck six ONLY...have larger balconies in front of the lifeboats!!!

Hucc,
I sure wish I could go, I miss sailing on Celebrity cruise line :( Ya never know, maybe by then I can :grin You will enjoy the Captains club, they don't have the coupon books like RCI, but we sure do like the priority embarkation and debarkation :thumb They send out coupons in their Captains Club magazine too, but they are not as good as they used to be, but better than getting no coupons. The dining room staff are great and they take special requests and if there is any way they can honor your requests they will. We really enjoy having dinner served in our cabin on one of the nights. They bring it on a rolling table, covered in a white tablecloth with sides that fold up to form a larger round table. It is just like having it in the dining room, except it is a nice private dinner for two :thumb
