If you have been looking at the Carnival website the last couple of weeks, you have seen the 12 days of Christmas promotion. Well, a few days ago, there was a Daily Gift that had 5 cabins (interior) on 5 different 5-day cruises for $179 PP. I called Carnival a few minutes before the code for this sale was to be activated. I got on the phone with Personal Vacation Specialist Amy, who told me how difficult it is to get one so limited. Well, I told her which one I wanted, and she started typing in the code. After about 11 trys, she screamed "I got one!!!" We were both very excited, and now Angie and I have a springtime sailing on the Fantasy to look forward to for $400 total, including tax!
Sorry, TA's, but I just LOVE booking direct with Carnival. It takes time and research on my part, but for me, that is part of the fun!

ME TOO!!!

On the day I was checking them out, they were offering the "book an interior cabin, get an ocean-view upgrade free" and I thought, "That's not bad, but those come and go all year long." Then I saw that the *Special Bonus* for the day for the first 5 callers after 3pm was select 7-day cruises for $349, interior of course. The first time I called I was too early. So I hung up and tried again and the agent said I was the first one eligible for the offering! I was so excited I didn't know whether to book or not. I didn't actually think I would get through, so it took me off-guard. What the heck - I booked it! May 12 on the Triumph to Cozumel, Cayman, and Ocho Rios. Plus, since I'm a repeat cruiser, she put me in for upgrade consideration. She said she had just booked a couple the previous day for the same cruise for $703 pp. Theirs was prob ocean-view, though. Anyway, all the *Special Bonus* offerings were snapped up within a couple of minutes into our call, so I think I got a great deal. I kinda feel like I won the lottery....except I still had to pay for it : (
