Usually Mike is with me and rushes me. But today I went alone on purpose because I wanted to see what was on sale for little girls clothes and that takes time to find the bargains. And I intentionally waited to buy clothing until after Christmas because of the sales!

Kiarra looks adorable in those little stretch cotton leggings. I found purple and pink for 2.00 a pair. I then bought a plain colored top and a print top to match each of the leggings for 2.00 a shirt. So 4 outfits for $12.00. I bought them a size bigger in case they shrink!

I then went into the bigger girls shop and found more leggings. I got her a pair of grey, a pair of baby blue and a pair of grey with pink pinstripe. Those were 4.00 a pair. I then bought 6 shirts to match those also 4.44 a shirt. So she now has 5 pair of new leggings and 10 new tops for under 50.00 She really needs some play clothes. I do spend more on her dressy clothes but Walmart is fine for play clothes because she grows out of them so fast.

The boys have beautiful hand me downs. Of course we buy them all some things of their own and Kaan is very gentle with his clothes so the little guys are usually all set. And I took care of Kaan in September at Sears. I spend alot more on his clothes because they last through all 3 boys if I do. Audra is so good about putting the clothes in crates and marking them with the size and then just pulls them out as needed. Thankfully also in September I also bought Kiarra all of her summer clothes 3 sizes bigger than she was at the time also on sale for about 2.00 an item at Sears! So she should be in good shape this summer if she doesn't grow much more before then. :grin

She is growing so fast she is almost as tall as Kaya who is 4, taller than Kalen who is 3 in March, and she is only 1 1/2. And she doesn't have hand me downs. So today was her day! If I do it a little at a time on sale it is so much easier.

Now I'm going on Disney.com and order up some more Pj's for all 4 kids. They are on sale for about 6.00 a pair and they are soft and nice PJ's, and wear like iron. They all can use a couple more pair beyond what I got them for Christmas. And they love the Disney characters on the pj's. Kaya and Kalen are now the same size so it works well.

So it was a fun shopping trip because I didn't feel rushed and bought myself some things I needed too. Oh and I did get the Dayquil and Nightquil for my cold. :lol :lol

Kiarra will be thrilled she loves clothes and shoes! I'll pack up a box and send it this week with a little lova ya check for Audra to have some pin money! I like to know she has a little stash in her hiding place. When you are a mother of 4 and don't work it seems like a bottle of nail polish or some special skin lotion is a luxury. I like to give her a little here and there just for her.

We have been online all day in search of a Wii. DD's birthday is the end of the month and she has been begging for one. They are no where to be found right now.

That's what Grandma's are supposed to do! Spoil the kids - both big and little. Sure is fun! But as they get older, its not as much fun as they want/need more expensive 'toys'.

Awww thanks I'm just a typical grandma! I'm just trying to make life a little easier for the kids. And I so enjoy buying for the kids. They all get a turn believe me! Last night I found some software for one of the toys I bought them this Christmas so that is on the way too. All of the stores were out of this particular software at Christmas. A little here and a little there doesn't hurt too much.

Plus while I need to buy myself a couple of new suits for work it is quite boring buying myself work clothes. Black, Black tweed, Navy Blue, Navy blue tweed. White blouse, white turtle neck, black sweater..........blah blah blah! :lol :lol

One thing SunFlower and I do helps out on the "stocking stuffers".

Whenever we hit a fast food joint, we each get the child's meal. 1) It's just enough to tide us over till we can get home for good food, and 2) you always get a packaged toy. The toys are thrown into a box in the Christmas Closet. By the end of the year, we have enough to fully stuff the stockings and still have leftovers.

The "leftovers" are sent to the troops overseas for them to distribute to the kidlets over there. I just take them to a local Guard or Reserve Armory. They arrange the shiping ....

Everybody benefits!
