I have cruised on Carnival 7 times but never in January. Can anyone tell me how the weather is. Will I be able to sit by the beach comfortably? I know it says it's in the 70's but I am curious to know If I should pack winter clothes while sailing on the waters.

We did a cruise with a stop in the Bahamas three years ago in January. The weather was nice enoough but when we went snorkeling the water was a little cooler than I would have liked. We did snorkel but for a shorter time than we usually do.

Thank you. I am to chicken to snorkel so I wont have that to worry about. I just want it to be warm enough to sit on the beach and get a tan.

We have cruised in Dec. Jan. and Feb. in different years. We've went to the Eastern Carib. and Western Carib. The first day going east was a little cool from wind, but after that it was 80's plus. West was 80's plus every day. I hope your cruise is as good as ours was.

I will keep you posted. I went to the Website for Bahamas weather and they said Febuary is the coldest month. I hope it's not thou. I live in Florida and other than the cold front we have had they only lasted for a few days. We will be back in the high 70's this week.

I also will be on Sensation on 01/31/2008. This is my 3rd time on this cruise at the end of January. Last year, it was 82 degrees, wonderful weather. The water was a tad chilly, but bearable. We had a wonderful time. Low crowds. That is why we keep going on this ship in late january. Its a great time.

Hi,
I just got off of the Sensation today. We sailed to Nassau Bahamas. I brought 2 swimsuits and never put one on . Out of deck there were a few people from up north that the cool wind did not seem to bother. It was just a little chilly but the wind made it too cool to jump in the pool and then lay out. I don't remember seeing anyone in the pool but I did see a lot of people in the jacuzzi. I myself do not get in public jacuzzi's cause they are major bacteria factories and it kind of creeps me out.
The cruise was a lot of fun and we lost our butts in the casino. There is no smoking except in the casino and that was a bummer cause it is pretty smoky there.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for the information I will be leaving this Thursday. I plan to bring a swimsuit but I have a feeling I may not be using. But I do plan to sun so I can work on my tan early. I am sure I will have fun no matter what and i really hope that I win some money in the casino. I told my husband the minute we are up to just quit and find something else to do.
