I do not know the ship at all but I think that I can answer the question. There is no one perfect place for a view. There is always something different to see from each side. Some say however that the place to be is somewhere across the aft. We actually have traveled inside to Ak. Our thinking is you get the best view from a higher up public room anyways.I don't think you can go wrong on a newer ship.
