icy strait port??

Have you been to this port? RCL isn't listing any shore excursions yet and I'm trying to plan the land portion well in advance. Can't find much about this port or any message boards or other sites. We are there for a full day. Any info????

Take a look at these sites: Icy Strait is a new port that will be visiited for the first time this year. It is very remote and "rough" in the real alaska sense. But take a look and learn about the native culture here. The fishing cannery was the foundation of this area and the focus of the locals. Now tourism is bring new blood to the area.

There is a guy who calls himself something like Hoonah_Tlingit_boy or something like that on Cruisecritic. He lives there apparently but there is a lot of discussion on his post. It will help you out alot! Good luck.
