If you have a passport that is all you will need. The passport already has your photo in it. You need some other form of photo ID if you are using a certified birth certificate. If you are boarding the ship from a tour and for some reason your sign and sail card does not work right and they do not come up with your picture you need a photo ID to get back on the ship. This has happened to us and seeing our passport was in the safe in our room I did use my license but you can use other forms of photo ID if you have them. Such as a security badge or I have used my Scuba certification card.If on a tour you may want to take your passport with you if it is your only form of ID or at least make a copy and take it with you.
