If you could spare some thoughts for my furbaby...

...I'd be most grateful. My cat, Frasier, is having dental surgery tomorrow, which means he will be given general anesthesia. It's going to be a frightening day for him as he will be in unfamiliar surroundings, and then have to deal with the pain of having a tooth extracted. So, if you wouldn't mind, would you kindly send a few prayers his way tomorrow?

Most definitely, Lisa. And when he awakes, please give Frasier some scritches from me...and tell him Pucci sends tail wags.

Pucci and I will be on our way to California tomorrow, but Frasier will be in my thoughts.

There's always time for a furbaby prayer, because they don't understand what's going on.

God bless the poor kitty. He will be fine ;) My cat has never had this surgery but my dog did and she was very calm and relaxed when she got home, i had to put special wax on her teeth for a week. Give kitty a nose rub for me!

Thank you all. I have a very confused cat right now, as he is begging for food and I'm not catering to him. Poor guy has to be on a fast until after surgery.

I'll check in tomorrow with a kitty update. Thank you again for your good wishes.

Thank you all again for your kind wishes. Our very groggy cat came home at about 3:00 pm yesterday, and by 6:00 was jumping onto the furniture, windowsill, etc. Sometime during the night, he transformed himself from a scraggly-looking creature to a beautifully groomed kitty. And, now that he can eat again, he is very happy.

The surgery went well. They had to remove only one tooth. He's on pain medication for three days and antibiotics for 14. He doesn't seem to mind, so far.

Thank you all again. Scritches have been passed along.
