Instead of being excited about my upcoming cruise the more I research the more disappointed I become. I'm really an easy going person but I'm starting to feel "Had" by NCL. I reserved the Romance suite because I loved the photo's of the room NCL has on their site, only to find out the room they are showing is not the Cat.AD (which is the Romance suite) but the Cat.AB.(totally different room). Now I see they changed the Intenary. Nassau from 7-1 and it takes 2 hours before disembarkation begins, so what does that leave me 4 hours on Nassau? So far this cruise has cost me over 5,000 not including Drinks, tips, excursions and all the little extras. So when I hear a cruise is a bargain I'd really like to know what I'm doing wrong?.... OK thanks for letting me vent.

MzLulu, don't feel bad, I can't answer your question about the romance suite, but as for the itinary change, this happens all the time. We are booked on Celebrity in November. So far they have deleted one port for another and may have deleted a second port for still another, also changed the amount of time on 2 different islands. I have heard of ships doing this at the last moment. Beside Nassau isn't that great anyway and who ever told you debarkation would take 2 hours? The ship is will be at the pier, not tendered. Even tendered ships don't take 2 hours as a rule. Stop fretting, just plan on a wonderful cruise. By the way, what ship are you going to be on?

Hi Nita
I feel better tonight. I I realized maybe it's a blessing I wont be in nassau that long(Less to lose in the casinos). I'm going to take your advice and stop "fretting". I'll be sailing on Norwegian Dawn on 4/4/04.
My husband and I were originally going to Bermuda by ourselves (My Birthday gift to him). Then one of my friends decided to come but really didnt want to go to Bermuda because she wanted to see the Atlantis "OH Well". Anyway, We all decided on the Bahamas. Thanks for answering and Happy Sailing.............Linda

Nassau wasn't much. I would have liked to shop at the Straw Market (which was burning in a fire when we were there), but other than that and our wonderful dolphin encounter excursion, just not alot to see or do except going to the Atlantis resort. Maybe you will enjoy something better. :)
