J & J-I just returned from the Imagination to Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios, Jamaica (my first cruise). Yo Ray's review was the best I found, too. THANKS Yo Ray! If your friend is going to Grand Cayman or Ocho Rios, Jamaica, I can provide my experiences there. I agree that Travelocity or the Carnival sites offer the best views of the rooms and deck plans. My friend and I had cabin #U151 and were pleasantly surprised at how much room we had. We were very comfortable, but cruisers don't want to spend your time there, get out and join or watch the activities! The food was AWESOME! Gained 5 pounds, but who cares, it was WORTH it! Our dining room waitor was Zeljko from Croatia and assistant Eduardo. They were precious and spoiled us terribly. The games/game shows were hilarious. Karoako was great, too. The piano bar, especially sing-a-long, was fun. The casino was great if you like to gamble (my friends did). I suggest getting your picture made at every opportunity as you never know when you'll find one you can't leave behind (suggest checking the photo gallery everyday so as not to have to search through all photos at the end, that tip was helpful). Cruisediva.com has some GREAT first time cruiser info, helpful hints to avoid lines, etc. Suggest printing all their stuff out for your friend, including the packing lists. Tell your friend to have a GREAT time and feel free to holler with any questions!
