Independence of the Seas Europe 2012

Does anyone know if the Indie OTS will be returning to Europe in 2012?

My wife and I are going to celebrate our 30th with a European cruise and like the idea of the 2 weeker out of Southampton and feel we get out money's worth with RCI.

This will be our first time in Europe. We will be flying in from the east coast of the USA and spending two nights in London before the cruise. Any suggestions are welcome.

Independance of the Seas is scheduled for some Canary Islands cruises in Early 2012 but I don't see any itineraries beyond April. The Canary Islands itineraries include Spain.

An educated guess? It probably will.

I hate to be negative, but my advice is don't do it. My husband and I did the 11 night Canary Island in November. We had a great time. However, I have never met so many rude people in my life. That in itself will keep me from ever doing it again. There were a total of 34 Americans on the ship, 99% British. I was amazed my the pushing, shoving, hands in the buffet platters. And forget trying to get out of an elevator. They push their way in before you ever have a chance to get out.

My advice would be to do the Mediterranean instead.

Not our experience at all. We were on the Indie early January 2011 around the Med.
So lovely we have now booked again for the Canaries which has better weather all year round.

Whether you go on a Med or Canaries cruise on the Indie, there will of course be many British onboard
because the ship leaves from Southampton UK. We are Brits, some of our best friends are American.

Maybe you were just unlucky to experience pushing and shoving, it can happen on any cruise anywhere in the world.

All the staff on the Indie by the way were excellent!
