Has anyone used an independent tour guide in St. Maarten. We'd like to go to Marigot and have some free time there to shop plus a general tour of the island before being brought back to Phillipsburg.

We just used taxis to get around (port - Orient Beach - Marigot - back to port). Like this we ended up seing the whole island. Made a big circle.

I'd also recommend getting a taxi at the pier. Here is a link to a website that lists prices for different locations. I believe that all taxi fairs are standardized on the island...they all charge the same flat fees.

Hey thanks, that was some really good information that you provided regarding the taxi company. I really liked that they listed numerous beaches, tours and such.
