inexpensive fishing trips

Going on the Dawn Princess, 2/18/05 with a group of young (younger than me!) people and they would like to do some deep sea fishing but don't want to pay the cruise excursion prices.

Anyone know of any fishing charters in St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Cozumel, Montego Bay, Grand Cayman or Nassau?

Any replies would be greatly appreciated by "the kids".

Most fishing charters like to leave early in the day (before the ships dock), so in order to make up for lost whole days, they charge a lot for just really half a day's fishing. But that said, even a whole day charter is expensive. $300 to $650 is not unreasonable for a fishing charter for 4 or 6 people.

We are looking to go fishing in Cozumel on the same charter but want to split the charter with two others.
If 4 of us use the same boat its only 87.50 per person. The boat can actually take 6 people but on a half day that not much seat time per person. Seems from what I have read its about 4 hrs of fishing and on the charter you take turns rotating to what ever rod gets a strike. With four you will get plenty of time to fight a fish, or I would assume. If you want to buddy up let us know. washingtongolfnut@yahoo.com
See you on deck
