The ship was in pretty good shape ....pun intended... Was a great trip and the crew was as happy as when we were last on board. (It really makes a difference I think) Service and food just great. We popped for the US restaurant and went for an addition not on the menu. a fillet....best I ever had. Service there still remarkable.
We did not see any of the shows sorry. I go with the theory that one "Vegas type" is the same as the others. There is a great 4 piece string Q in the Cova cafe, a super A capella group and a Piano Guy that take turns in Micheals Club and a smooth chap on the guitar in the aft bar area. Not sure if the Piano guy will still be on board, plays well but overwelms the room somewhat. He said he was filling in for another person. Comedy was OK.
Embarkation was a breeze for us but I'm sorry to say that from what we heard the next day that didn't happen for a lot of folks. I'm really not to clear on the CC class benny's. If this is your 5th cruise I think unless you were a "founder " you don't get priority boarding. If that comes with your CC Stateroom (Hope it does) make sure that the little lady that gives out the coloured tickets as you enter knows you qualify. Took us about 30 mins to get through the process, took others 3 hours. The hold up s getting through US customs. There are 3 ships boarding on sundays. They don't start now until 12 noon as US customs does not get there until then. Do the math... There is just not enough agents to do it quickly. We were Select CC and as I said it went pretty well. When I saw the room I was really worried but the system worked for us..
If you do not have priority boarding I would wait until late in the afternoon to arrive and spend the day looking around Vancouver. Hard to do I know cause we all want to get on the ship. But it sure didn't happen quickly for a lot of people.
I'll be posting a review when I get my fingers going. (soon I hope)
