Hi, everbody. This is my first post but I have been seriously lurking (okay obsessing).
I have a couple of cruises planned and have a few questions . Please forgive, as I have noticed some previous threads on some of these, but I am looking for some additional
insight on a couple of staterooms. Thanks. BTW-have only been on Celebrity Galaxy. I have mostly cruised on Holland America, but have changed my alliances to Celebrity
after a HAL Zuiderdam cruise.
1.) I have a surprise father/daughter Alaska cruise planned for my dad this summer. I was able to book room 6004. It was available in regular inventory. My reasoning is that since it is my dad, I wanted the extra square footage so he has some privacy, but did not feel like the verandah was as important since we can go on deck or lounges for sightseeing. I do however like verandahs when traveling with my hubby. Good or bad reasoning? Does anyone know the size/square footage of this cabin? Looks like a winner on the deck plan, but you never know. Also, what happened to the Alaska shore excursions? I can't get any information to come up on the website for Alaska ports. Do you think they are just redoing them? Last question on this cruise-promise. I booked the airfare through Celebrity-it was really cheap-cheaper than online anywhere. Anyone have experience with the flights they chose from the D.C. area? Non-stops or tour America?
2.) Also have annual cruise booked with hubby. R/T San Juan, Constellation. Did go for the famous 6146 Sky Suite. My main reasoning was it was actually affordable on this particular cruise and well, I just want a suite for once. Not overly concerned about the single door issue . Hope our neighbors are not party central, but what can you do about that. Just any further insight on this room would be appreciated!! Sorry so long. Thanks a bunch.
